This is a 10 year tribute website in memory of a dear friend. We have all been very sad to receive the information that our friend and sister in Jesus Christ, Shirley Knox, went to her sleep in Jesus early last Sunday morning. Her death followed a short term illness that included two admissions to the hospital. Shirley was born and raised a Seventh-day Adventist and lived most of her life in Lexington, Massachusetts. She moved to Ocala in May, 2004 to be closer to her longtime friends and escape winters without snow and ice storms. Her spiritual walk was a daily journey filled with opportunities to witness God’s grace and mercy. She served our church in the capacities of Director of the Greeters, Single’s Ministries Leader, Church Membership Clerk, and a member of the Church Board. She wrote, “In the midst of these troubled days and life’s crisis moments, it’s comforting to read Ps. 46:10, ‘Be still and know that I am God.’” She will be missed but we all have that blessed hope to see her again when Jesus returns.
